Who We Are
PurAire is the indoor-air-quality division of ProMedUSA Pte Ltd, a Singapore company that has been supplying specialised environmental and air-treatment equipment since 2006.
Over that time, our team has worked with more than 1,000 organisations across the region. The applications vary, but the underlying question is usually the same: what is causing the air-quality or odour problem, and what is the most practical way to deal with it?
That question is more important to us than selling a particular product.
Our Story
We did not begin by manufacturing our own bipolar ionisation equipment. We began by supplying established indoor air quality technologies and learning, in real buildings, what customers valued, what created service problems and where different approaches worked best.
That experience shaped what came next. We wanted a bipolar ionisation range that we could specify, support and service directly — with replaceable Glass DBD ionisation tubes, multiple equipment formats and products suited to the types of buildings we work in every day.
Working with an experienced engineering team, we developed the PurAire range for portable, room-side, lift, cassette air-conditioning, fan coil unit and larger HVAC/in-duct applications.
Today, PurAire Singapore remains a division of ProMedUSA Pte Ltd. Our team has worked with more than 1,000 organisations across Singapore and the region.
We Solve The Problem Before Choosing The Product
Indoor air quality is not a one-technology problem. Different spaces need different tools.
A hotel guest room with a recurring musty smell is not the same problem as a commercial kitchen exhaust duct. A bin centre, grease trap room, office, ballroom, lift or fan coil unit has its own airflow, occupancy and contaminant conditions.
PurAire focuses on bipolar ionisation and IAQ monitoring, while ProMedUSA also supplies other treatment technologies for applications where they are more appropriate. The objective is to specify by the problem rather than force every application into the same product category.
For example, room-side commercial kitchens, bin centres and grease trap rooms can be bipolar-ionisation applications, while kitchen exhaust ductwork and grease extract may require a different ProMedUSA treatment system.

Singapore’s warm, humid climate creates familiar challenges for hotels, offices and facilities teams: musty and damp odours, moisture-related problems in fan coil units and ductwork, tobacco and body odours, and VOCs released by furnishings, finishes and renovation materials.

Why We Use Glass DBD Bipolar Ionisation
PurAire uses Glass DBD bipolar ionisation across much of its range because the technology gives us a safe and durable, replaceable emitter format that can be scaled from room-side equipment to fan coil units and larger HVAC systems.
Our focus is not on claiming that one ionisation architecture is universally better than every other technology. The important questions are whether the equipment is appropriate for the application, what it is certified to, how it is installed, and what the available testing actually demonstrates.
