Built for the spaces that defeat ordinary air purifiers — cigar lounges, casino gaming floors, hotel lobbies, ballrooms and large offices after a fit-out. Four models covering 200 to 2,400 m², with adjustable ionisation output on every unit.
The range includes four models: Ultra-1, Ultra-2, Ultra-4 and Ultra-6. Every model combines HEPA13 filtration with adjustable Glass DBD bipolar ionisation so treatment can be matched to the room and the changing odour load.
A cigar lounge with four smokers in it for three hours. A casino floor that never closes. A hotel lobby in Singapore’s humidity where the musty smell comes back every wet season. A ballroom the morning after a function.
These are the rooms where a filter-only purifier runs all day and the smell is still there, because a filter can only treat the air that reaches it and odours float in the air, live in the carpet, the curtains and the upholstery.
The Ultra Series does both jobs. HEPA13 filtration for particulate matter, and high-output bipolar ionisation that travels into the room and reaches the surfaces a filter never touches for odour removal.
The PurAire Ultra Series is a family of four standalone large-space air-treatment units: the Ultra-1, Ultra-2, Ultra-4 and Ultra-6.
HEPA13 filtration captures airborne particulate as room air passes through the unit. Glass DBD bipolar ionisation provides active room-side treatment for persistent odour problems.
The Ultra units are movable rather than permanently installed, but they are substantially larger and more powerful than the portable PurAire DUO and AirPro-MAX. They are intended for larger rooms and heavier contaminant or odour loads.
For large spaces, model selection should be based on more than floor area, room volume, ceiling height, occupancy, airflow, smoking load and the type of odour problem.
We have 20 years experience in indoor air remediation. We can help you choose the proper model for your needs.
Every PurAire Ultra model has adjustable ionisation output, allowing treatment intensity to be matched to the way the room is actually being used and the IAQ issues with it.
A casino floor or VIP smoking lounge at a quiet time is not the same treatment problem as the same space at peak occupancy. A ballroom during a function is different from the ballroom the following morning. A cigar lounge with several active smokers creates a very different load from the same room when it is empty.
Adjustable output lets housekeeping and facilities teams increase treatment when the load is heavy and reduce it when the room is quieter, rather than operating every space at one fixed setting.
The figures below are application guides, not guarantees. Actual capacity depends on room volume, ceiling height, occupancy, air movement and the severity of the odour load.
| Model | Coverage Capacity | Primary Applications |
|---|---|---|
| Ultra-1 / Ultra-2 | 200 to 1,200 SqM | Large offices, large guest room suites, lounges, cigar and cigarette smokinh areas, and other substantial enclosed spaces. |
| Ultra-4 | Up to 1,800 SqM | Ballrooms, Large reception areas and function spaces. |
| Ultra-6 | Up to 2,400+ SqM | Casino floors, VIP smoking lounges, large lobbies, and industrial and commercial spaces, factories, and production areas. |
Ultra-1 / Ultra-2, Ultra 4 and Ultra-6 coverage varies with tube configuration. Units may be supplied with 350 mm or 520 mm Glass DBD tubes; the 520 tube is the standard configuration where specified.
For large or unusually shaped spaces, more than one treatment point may be required. A commercial site assessment is more reliable than sizing from square metres alone.Â
* Note: All Ultra Series units feature adjustable output, allowing you to fine-tube the ionisation output to your specific environment and odour load.
* Note: Exact coverage depends on ceiling height, occupancy levels, and the intensity of the specific odour or pathogen load (eg: heavy smoking vs. general air purification).
The PurAire Ultra-1 and Ultra-2 combine Glass DBD bipolar ionisation with HEPA filtration in a movable floor-standing unit designed for larger occupied spaces.
They are suited to applications such as larger offices, private dining areas, lounges, reception areas and other commercial spaces where smaller portable units may not provide sufficient air movement or ionisation capacity.
The Ultra-4 uses four Glass DBD ionisation tubes together with HEPA13 filtration for large open indoor spaces such as ballrooms, function halls, exhibition areas and major reception spaces.
Its floor-standing, movable design allows it to be positioned where air treatment is needed without permanent HVAC modification.
The Ultra-6 is the highest-output model in the PurAire Ultra range, designed for very large indoor environments where greater ionisation capacity is required.
It is intended for applications such as major ballrooms, casinos, exhibition halls, large public areas and industrial-scale occupied spaces where several smaller units might otherwise be required.
The Ultra series works on smoke held in carpets, curtains and upholstery as well as smoke in the air, which is what lets a lounge or a suite be brought back into use quickly rather than aired out for days.
It breaks the chemical bonds in the compounds that make smoke smell, rather than trapping smoke particles and leaving the odour behind. It works on smoke held in carpets, curtains and upholstery as well as smoke in the air, which is what lets a lounge or a suite be brought back into use rather than aired out for days.
It is particularly suited to cigar lounges, private smoking rooms, VIP areas and other spaces where smoke odour can remain in the room after the visible smoke has cleared.
In Singapore’s high humidity, the Ultra Series inhibits fungal reproduction by deactivating spores mid-air. This helps to mould growth in carpets, furniture and curtains, damp HVAC ductwork and removes the persistent “mouldy-mildewy-musty” smell.
Formaldehyde, benzene and other VOCs released by new carpet, paint, adhesives and furniture. Ionisation breaks the chemical bonds that make them smell. The Ultra series helps neutralise them.
Every Ultra model includes HEPA13 filtration to help capture airborne particulate as air passes through the unit, and the bipolar ionisation causes fine particles to clump together so they fall out of the air or are caught by the filter.
During a haze episode that combination is the argument for the Ultra over an normal air purifier alone.
The Ultra Series can also be used to remedy persistent ammonia, stale-air and organic decay odour problems in toilets and large commercial spaces.
The Jacob Ballas Center in Singapore has an enclosed cigar-smoking room. Three to five cigar smokers, often for several hours at a stretch, enjoy their cigars, whiskey and conversation. It is about as difficult as air treatment gets.
We put an Ultra-2 in there and left it running through a session with four smokers in the room. What they reported: the smoke was visibly reduced while they were still smoking, and the cigar smell stayed low throughout.
They closed the room off afterwards and left the unit running overnight. The next morning there was no tobacco odour left in the room at all.
They bought the unit. In their own words: a wonderful product, and they are very happy they purchased it.
The PurAire DUO and AirPro-MAX are compact portable units designed for smaller room-to-room treatment. The Ultra Series is the larger-capacity choice when the room volume, occupancy or odour load requires a more substantial treatment platform.
Choose an Ultra for large lounges, casino floors, VIP rooms, Smoking Areas, ballrooms, major lobbies and other substantial enclosed areas. Choose a DUO or AirPro-MAX when easy hand-carried portability between individual rooms is the priority.
If the treatment needs to be built into an AHU or supply duct rather than placed in the room, the PurAire SG-BPI in-duct range is the appropriate product family.
The Ultra Series is not maintenance-free. It has both Glass DBD ionisation tubes and a HEPA13 filter, and both need attention over the life of the unit.
The Glass DBD tubes are rated at approximately 17,000 operating hours. They should be inspected and cleaned at the interval specified in the product manual, typically around every 8 to 12 months depending on operating conditions, and then replaced at the end of their service life.
The HEPA13 filter is a consumable. Replacement frequency depends on the working environment and how heavily the unit is used. A cigar lounge or smoking area will normally need a filter change faster than a lightly occupied office.
PurAire Singapore can recommend a realistic inspection and replacement schedule based on the actual application rather than using one fixed interval for every site.
For large spaces, floor area on its own is not enough. Tell us the room dimensions or volume, ceiling height, occupancy, airflow, operating hours and the odour or particulate problem you are trying to solve.
We will recommend the appropriate Ultra model, advise whether more than one treatment point is needed, and suggest where the equipment should be positioned.

The Ultra Series is designed for larger-room applications where a compact guest-room or portable unit may not provide the treatment capacity required. Typical applications include cigar lounges, gaming floors, ballrooms, lobbies, function spaces and other substantial enclosed areas.
The high-output Glass DBD tubes are rated for approximately 17,000 hours of operation. This ensures years of reliable performance with significantly lower maintenance overhead than traditional “filter-only” systems.
New office fit-outs in Singapore often suffer from high chemical loads (off-gassing) from carpets, paints, and adhesives. The Ultra Series provides VOC removal for large office renovations by disrupting the chemical bonds of formaldehyde and benzene, converting them into harmless base elements like O2 and water (H2O).
Yes. It can be used as part of an odour-control programme for new offices, hotels and other spaces affected by VOC-related smells from paint, adhesives, carpets, furniture and other new materials. Appropriate ventilation and source control remain important.
While the Ultra Series is designed as a high-output standalone unit for rapid deployment, its powerful airflow can be used to augment existing ventilation. For permanent HVAC-integrated solutions, we also offer specific in-duct DBD systems. The standalone Ultra units are preferred by facilities that need “hot spot” treatment in specific areas like smoking lounges or intake wards.
Yes. Every Ultra model has adjustable ionisation output and adjustable fan speed controls so the treatment level can be matched to occupancy, smoking load and other changing room conditions.
Yes. Cigar lounges and smoking areas are among the main applications for the Ultra Series. In the Singapore case study on this page, the customer reported that an Ultra-2 kept cigar odour low during an active smoking session and that no tobacco odour remained the following morning.
A filter can only treat air that reaches the machine. That’s called “Passive Technology”.
PurAire’s Ions leave the unit and travel to the surfaces of sofas, curtains and carpets, where they reach odour molecules held in the fabric. That’s called “Active Technology”.
That is what a filter-only purifier cannot do, and it is why the Ultra works on smoke that has been in a room for years.
The PurAire Ultra Series is intended for larger-room applications where a compact personal or guest-room unit may not provide the treatment capacity required. It is suited to applications such as larger lounges, function spaces and other substantial enclosed areas.
Choose the Ultra Series when the room volume, occupancy or odour load requires a larger treatment platform. The DUO and AirPro-MAX are better suited to smaller, highly portable room-to-room work.
The Ultra range is designed as movable room-treatment equipment, although it is larger than the DUO or AirPro-MAX. The exact handling and placement requirements depend on the specific Ultra model.
Position it where room airflow can distribute treatment effectively and where the air intake and discharge are not obstructed. Large or unusually shaped spaces may need more than one treatment point.
Model selection should consider room volume, ceiling height, airflow, occupancy and the type and severity of the odour problem. For large spaces, a site assessment is preferable to sizing from floor area alone.
Tell us about the space, the odour or particulate problem and how the room is used. We will recommend whether the Ultra Series, a portable DUO or AirPro-MAX, or an HVAC-integrated PurAire system is the better fit.
